Corporate Moves, Inc.
As Recruiters, we talk to a lot
of people with a lot of problems, a number of people with a few
problems, a couple of people who claim no problems and some
people who are the problem. It doesn't matter if it's a
Candidate or an Employer; everybody faces problems in their career.
We've worked with all sides of the issue: Employers with people
problems and People with employer problems. We don't work with
people who are the problem and who cause everyone else's problems
and we can help you avoid and eliminate problems in your
hiring.
A great Recruiter will ask you,
the Employer, questions about your career as well about the the
type of people you want to hire. We need to know the details about
the position, but we also need to know why a person would want
to work for you and why they wouldn't. In order to understand you
and your company we need to get to know you, your history, the
talent problems you've faced in hiring and your goals for the
future. We can help you eliminate the problems with your hiring and
retention today and tomorrow - if you will invest your time with
us.
We've been in the Search
business since 1988, we know a lot of people in a lot of places
and are confident that we have a solid understanding of many
markets. You may be surprised to find that we don't make assumptions
about your company even when we do know your competitors. Many
Recruiters will say "Just tell me the basics and I'll send you
people.", we don't do that. You can post an ad and get a wide
selection of resumes, most of which are not what you're looking to
find. We search and screen to the right selections saving you
time and frustration.
Your perception of your company
is critical to a Recruiter who is working for your company. It
doesn't matter what your competitors want, it's all about what you
want and what your company needs. We need to know if you have a hot
temper, if you can't work with people who need to discuss every last
detail for hours on end, if you like gutsy people or prefer middle
of the road easy going people and the other crucial details of
the day to day workings of your corporate team. It could be
that nobody ever asked you about your temper or your
personality before when you're starting a Search, but doesn't
it make sense to find people who can appreciate your style
rather than be flustered over it? Your company has a
culture that is different from every other company in the world, all
of the current employees add to the environment as well as
the Senior Management. When you're hiring an Executive or a team
member who will grow to be one of the executives, you need a person
who connects with and blends into your team, not just someone
who has the degree, works for a competitor or is capable of doing
the job.
People can be highly educated,
skilled and successful with a competitor and they may not do well
with your company or vice versa. Competitive knowledge is great, but
the ability, experience, education and personal chemistry
of the Candidate has to click with Management
and Co-Workers or your company. That's where we can save you a
lot of trouble; we use the information we develop in the
initial conversations with you and combine it with our years of
experience to select the candidates who will be most likely to come
on board and be productive quickly.
Why are you hiring? Is your
company growing and you're adding new positions? Are you
replacing someone who retired or who left the company? If the person
quit do you know why they left? If the person was terminated do you
know all the details? Are you the direct manager of the person to be
hired or are there more levels of management and personalities to
consider? Have you sat down and figured out where your problems are
and what the "worst case scenario" is for all possible actions? How
about the best case? Have you looked around your company and
done a critical evaluation on your current employees? Have you
considered your options on how to encourage growth and success from
your current staff? Do you know what they feel they need, what help
they'd like and what they'd like to see in a new hire? Hiring a new
employee is an opportunity as well as a challenge. You have the
chance to change direction, expand your market, redirect the growth,
increase success and improve all results. Or...if you simply look at
the situation as needing to replace someone, you can keep doing what
you've been doing and you'll probably continue on as
before.
